Nasib Karyawan Transjakarta Segera Dibahas

City to Discuss the Fate of Transjakarta Employees

The Transjakarta Management Unit has officially become a city-owned enterprise (BUMD) under the name of PT Transjakarta. Starting 2015, all assets owned by Transjakarta will be handed over to PT Transportasi Jakarta. Based on the prediction of Jakarta Financial Management Board (BPKD), the assets worth Rp 1.2 trillion. Among those assets, the asset of employees is the most difficult to be handed over because they have worked for years in Transjakarta UP.

The number of Transjakarta UP employees is 6,000 people. Some have worked long as non-civil servants, then they are about to be transferred to PT Transjakarta. They should receive rewards

“The number of Transjakarta UP employees is 6,000 people. Some have worked long as non-civil servants, then they are about to be transferred to PT Transjakarta. They should receive rewards,” uttered Head of Jakarta BPKD, Heru Budi Hartono, Friday (11/28).

Actually, Hartono continued, BPKD in this matter is only preparing the assets and budget, not handling employee matters which supposed to be handled by the Economic Bureau. Thus, his party will coordinate with the Economic Bureau, Manpower and Transmigration Department, and Transportation Department.

PT Transjakarta to Manage the Tourism Double-decker Bus

“The Economic Bureau should have handled this. But, I am ready to do any task given to me. I will discuss this matter in a meeting next Tuesday. Hopefully this Transjakarta UP employees matter could be resolved. Jakarta Transportation Department and other units already have a pattern, so we just need to combine it,” he stated.

According to Hartono, in accordance to the instruction of Jakarta Governor Basuki T Purnama, the deadline for transitional status of Transjakarta UP to PT Transportasi Jakarta is December 31, 2014. The trillions of rupiah assets consist of bus stops, bus pool, Transjakarta bus fleets, and so on. The whole data collection of these assets is targeted to finish this month.

“We’re currently re-calculating the depots which spread in Cawang, Kalideres, and Cilincing. If it’s summed up, the (Transjakarta UP) assets are worth Rp 1.2 trillion,” he said.
